Architraves
The frames around your doors and windows — fitted clean, with tight miters and a consistent reveal. The detail that finishes a room properly.
Window Boards
Solid timber or MDF window boards fitted level and tight to the frame. Painted or finished to match your decor.
Dado Rails
Fitted at the correct height, with neat internal and external corner joints. Painted in the room or supplied pre-primed ready for your decorator.
Picture Rails
Traditional picture rails fitted correctly so they'll actually support hanging art — not just decorative strips screwed to the wall.
Coving & Cornice
Internal coving at the wall/ceiling junction. Mitered external and internal corners, properly filled and ready for the painter.
Decorative Mouldings
Ogee, ovolo, bullnose, pencil round and a wide range of decorative profiles — fitted with precision and care throughout.
Door Stops
The strip inside a door frame that the door closes against. Often overlooked, always noticeable when it's wrong. Fitted to exact tolerances.
Stair Nosings
Hardwood stair nosings fitted to the front edge of each tread — protecting the timber and completing the staircase finish.
Newel Posts
Structural and decorative newel posts at the top and bottom of a staircase. Fitted solid and square.
Spindles & Balustrade
Balustrade spindles fitted to comply with building regulations — the correct spacing, the right rail height, all finished neatly.
Timber Casing
Boxing-in of structural elements, pipes and services in solid timber or MDF — clean lines, secure fixing and properly finished.

Do you supply the timber or should I?
We can supply everything or work with material you've chosen. If you're trying to match an existing profile, it's usually best for us to source it — we know where to find the right sections.
Can you match the existing skirting/architrave profile?
In most cases yes. We can source profiles to match, or in some cases have sections machined to match a period or unusual profile. Send us a photo and we'll advise.
Do you do the filling and sanding too?
We leave all surfaces nail-filled, caulked at the wall join and sanded flat — ready for the painter. If you want a full paint finish, we can quote for that too.
Can you work around decorating that's already done?
Yes, but it's always better to fit woodwork before final decorating. We'll protect finished surfaces and work carefully, but some touching up is usually needed after fitting.
How long does fitting a room of skirting take?
A typical room takes 2–4 hours depending on size, complexity and the number of corners. We'll give you an accurate time estimate when we quote.
